01:30 pm – You will be welcomed by our expert environmental guide directly at the most convenient point in Borgotaro, a mountain town in the province of Parma locally known for its peculiar gastronomic treasures, and together you will reach the path starting point in the woods: ready to learn about this amazing mountain landscape and search for the treasures hidden in its forest? Not just porcini mushrooms (which have a denomination of typical origin there), but also wild berries, peculiar trees, and rare bushes, according to season.
Hunting requires energy… that’s why a tasty country-style merenda along the tour or at the end will be ready for you with the top-notch farm-to-table products of the region: Parmigiano-Reggiano, some of the typical rural pies, freshly made bread, rustic as well as more “aristocratic” desserts… and the most authentic spirit of Parma’s food making heritage!

Please Note:
- Program: the described program may undergo minor changes in the timings.
- Pick-ups: If you add the car+driver supplement from a specific town, you will be picked up at your hotel downtown. If out of town, you could be asked to pay a further supplement.
- Guide: the guide can decide whether to join you on board (only if you buy the car+driver supplement) or drive her/his own car. In case you selfdrive, the guide drives her/his own car in front of you and you just follow upon our itinerary instructions.
- Lunch: if you buy the tour grade with lunch supplement, this can be arranged at a local restaurant, a Parma ham producer or an agriturismo depending on availability.
- Porcini hunt: since it’s a real search and the seasons may be dramatically influenced by the current climate, it is not guaranteed to find products during the experience. During the other months the visit into the woods is still possible focusing on the environment and the characteristics of the territory.
- Our drivers are NOT driver-guides, since this kind of professional profile is forbidden by the Italian law.
Cancellation Policy:
- No fee up to 8 days before the starting day;
- From 7 days to 3 days before the tour starting date: 50% penalty;
- 48 hours’ notice: 70% penalty;
- 24 hours’ notice: 100% penalty.
