Independent arrival in Parma and check-in at the accommodation we have selected for you.
Welcome dinner of typical food at a restaurant known for being frequented by local Opera singers and Opera lovers.
Overnight in Parma.
Meeting with our expert guide directly at your hotel and walking tour of the city centre to discover the monuments that have made Parma wellknown everywhere as the “City of Opera” such as: the house where Arturo Toscanini was born, the Regio Theatre (if available), the unique Farnese Theatre, entirely made of wood, and the Opera Museum in the House of Music.
Rest of the day at leisure for independent visits or shopping.
Enjoy dinner on your own.
Opera performance at the Verdi Festival (only in October, tickets available upon request with extra cost depending on the type of seat).
Overnight in Parma.
Meeting with our guide and departure for the land in the surroundings of Parma called “Terre Verdiane” (Giuseppe Verdi Homelands).
The first stop will be to a Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese dairy: an unmissable experience! Tasting session at the end of the visit.
The tour will then proceed to: the house where Verdi was born, the Verdi Theatre in Busseto and the Barezzi House;
To follow: visit a real producer of the precious Culatello di Zibello, the unique cured meat that ages inside the amazing medieval cellars of a real castle along the Po river.
“Arrivederci” lunch based on the typical products of the farm.
