Ducal Royal Palace of Colorno has a monumental architectural structure, with over 400 rooms, courts and courtyards. It is surrounded by a wonderful French garden, recently reopened. Duke Ferdinando and Duchess Maria Amalia’s charming apartments can be visited together with the Astronomical Observatory. It is also home to many temporary exhibits and cultural events.

Ducal Royal Palace of Colorno has been inhabited by Sanseverino, Farnese, Borbone and Maria Luigia of Austria. The Ducal apartments, Sala Grande, San Liborio’s neoclassical chapel; with works of famous artists and Serassi organ, used for the yearly Concert Season and the Astronomical Observatory are extremely fascinating.
