The Gropparello Castle is situated amidst the lush Val Vezzeno, perched on a green serpentinite spur, overlooking the winding stream below. With its irregular layout, it stands as a magnificent example of medieval fortification art. Surrounding the castle are the Fairy Tales Park – Italy’s First Emotive Park for children – and the Museum of the Rising Rose, boasting 108 varieties of roses totaling 1350 plants. Step into the magical medieval atmosphere of knights, fairies, elves, and witches within the Fairy Tales Park’s 20 hectares, where pathways wind through hidden gardens and clearings among ancient woods.

Free outdoor parking is available to all visitors, and upon request, parking is also offered in the fenced garden. Suite amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, a snack corner, and both winter and summer air conditioning with a heat pump. Enjoy an amazon shower with hydro-massage and cryotherapy, along with an initial minibar restocking. Breakfast is included and features a variety of sweet and savory products sourced from local excellence: breads, pastries, and baked goods come from the Medieval Tavern kitchen, offering a personalized and delightful experience. Depending on the season, breakfast is served in the garden overlooking the castle’s battlements and forest, in the 19th-century hall, or on the terrace.

Torre del Barbagianni: The “Owl Tower” is the exclusive suite within Gropparello Castle. Suspended above the drawbridge, it comprises 4 interconnected rooms all at tree canopy level. With only one bathroom, it can accommodate up to 2 adults or a family. It boasts all modern comforts while retaining its timeless appearance. Staying in the tower allows for leisurely walks in the castle park, enjoying the coolness of the forest and sunbathing in the meadows.
