Ancient fortification nestled among the slopes of the Emilian Apennines, overlooking the lush Valtaro valley, in the province of Parma.
Originally serving as a defensive stronghold and elegant residence for the Landi princes, it was transformed into a girls’ boarding school in the early 1900s, later becoming the permanent residence of a marchioness and now housing museum collections and a boutique hotel.
The hotel also features a spacious garden-solarium and a swimming pool. During the summer season, guests can enjoy outdoor breakfasts and panoramic cocktails while admiring unforgettable sunsets over the Valtaro valley. Each summer season, the surrounding park of Compiano Castle and its outdoor pool are inaugurated. Measuring 11×5.5 m with a depth of 135 cm, it is located in a panoramic area overlooking the Valtaro, with a view of the castle; providing moments of intense relaxation for both hotel guests and external clients. To enhance the offer, sun loungers, umbrellas, a poolside shower, tables, chairs, and the “pool bar” are available, located inside the old mill, where guests can order drinks, ice creams, sandwiches, and hot dishes. Support facilities are located a short distance from the pool inside the basement of the Castle, accessed by a staircase. A small changing room is located on the upper floor of the pool bar.
At Compiano Castle, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of centuries past by staying in one of the 14 elegant rooms (single, double, and family) located along the battlements or overlooking the inner courtyard.
